Calvin and Hobbes Print Sells for $107K
The Bill Watterson watercolor print was on a calendar cover.   (Heritage Auctions)

Someone's a really big fan of the Calvin and Hobbes strip. A watercolor of the pair napping under a tree fetched $107,550 in a sale by Heritage Auctions this week, reports the Washington Post. The piece was created in the late 1980s by Bill Watterson, author of the famous comic strip. Sized 13 by 10 inches, it was originally an illustration on the cover of a calendar for 1989-1990. Time recounts how much Watterson loved doing his ink drawings. (More Calvin and Hobbes stories.)
