ESPN apologized today for some badly chosen words in the wake of Jeremy Lin's first loss as a New York Knick: A headline on its mobile site read "Chink in the armor" for about a half-hour before getting yanked, reports Outsports.com. A network statement called the headline "offensive" and promised a "complete review" of how it came to be. It didn't say whether the double entendre was intentional, but concluded, "We regret and apologize for this mistake." (More Jeremy Lin stories.)
