Nice news out of Utah: Elizabeth Smart is engaged, reports the Salt Lake Tribune. The 24-year-old BYU senior will marry in the summer, says a spokesman. Don't expect many details about the groom—the Tribune thinks he's a fellow Mormon named Matthew Gilmour—or the wedding. Smart, who famously survived 9 months as a kidnap victim in 2002-03, plans to keep her private life private. She will, however, be vocal in her work on behalf of victimized kids.

"She is going to be involved in child advocacy work for a long, long time and really decided that she wants to keep her husband and [future] children out of the public spotlight," says the spokesman. (More Elizabeth Smart kidnapping stories.)
