It's been a rough couple of weeks for Sinead O'Connor, culminating in a desperate series of tweets yesterday. "does any1 know a psychiatrist in dublin or wicklow who could urgently see me today please? im really un-well... and in danger," she tweeted. She tells the Sun she had attempted suicide last Thursday in LA by taking an overdose of pills, then tried again two days ago after being treated for a broken ankle in an Irish hospital.

"i realise i will be in trouble 4 doing this but.. ireland is a VERY hard place to find help in. So having tried other ways 1st im asking," she posted. She explains to the Sun, "I just had to make a cry for help." She went so far as posting an email address where she could be reached . What set her off? Apparently, an Irish newspaper article that claimed her drug counselor husband was counseling addicted teens while Sinead looked to score drugs. See the Huffington Post for more of the tweets.
