Thinking about dissing Iowa as a state with a bunch of hillbillies whose opinions don't really matter? Think again. A new, pleasantly aggressive video created by Iowans Scott Siepker and Paul Benedict reminds us that Iowa was among the first states to legalize gay marriage, boasted the first female lawyer and the first computer, and "went Democratic in five out of the last six presidential elections." As for those "hillbilly" farmers, one of them "feeds 155 of you."

Not to mention, "Iowa has the sixth-lowest unemployment in the nation. Des Moines is ranked the richest metro in the country, and the second-happiest. Guess you can have it all," deadpans Siepker while eating a piece of cake. The video has, predictably, gone viral, the Atlantic Wire notes, adding that it appears to be more a response to a recent article dissing Iowa than to anything having to do with the presidential race.
