Cain Holds Off on Endorsing Newt

Former candidate won't endorse anytime soon: rep

Looks like Herman Cain will hold out a little longer on giving his blessing. Contrary to an earlier report, the former GOP candidate will not lend Newt Gingrich his support today, according to reps on both sides. In fact, Cain won't give an endorsement anytime soon, his campaign chief says. Gingrich seems like the obvious endorsement, Reuters reports, because he and Cain appeal to the same conservative base of Republican voters. (More Herman Cain 2012 stories.)
