Seems FAA administrator Randy Babbitt may have been flying a little too high over the weekend: Police in northern Virginia charged the veteran pilot with drunk driving after they spotted him driving on the wrong side of the road Saturday night, reports the Washington Post. Babbitt was alone, not involved in any accident, and cooperated with police, the Post notes. He requested the leave today, and Deputy Administrator Michael Huerta will take the FAA helm while Babbitt's employment status is under review. Babbitt has held the post since June 2009.
