Lady Gaga has parted ways—apparently not-so-amicably—with her longtime creative director and choreographer, Laurieann Gibson. The split, which was confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter, was first reported by MediaTakeOut, which proves you needn’t take every wacky thing the hip-hop gossip site says with a grain of salt. MTO claimed Gaga ditched Gibson after a “BITTER FIGHT!!!” and the Reporter points to several instances of reported friction between the two.
Gibson started working with Gaga as soon as the singer was signed to Interscope Records. Apparently Gibson’s ego has gotten the better of her recently, specifically after getting involved in reality series The Dance Scene, and she has increasingly clashed with Gaga. They disagreed over the religious overtones in the “Judas” video, and a disagreement during the “Edge of Glory” video led Gibson to a Twitter rant. According to MTO, Gaga was also not happy when Gibson recently said that she styled Gaga after Madonna. (More Lady Gaga stories.)
