Deron Williams had a career-best 35 points in Utah's unexpected blowout of the Lakers last night, the Salt Lake Tribune reports. Playing without the injured Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur, the rest of the Jazz stepped up, with Paul Millsap posting 20 points and Andrei Kirilenko putting up a triple-double of 20 points, 11 assists, and 11 boards.

Kobe Bryant led his team's scoring as usual with 28 points, and Jordan Farmer and Ronny Turiaf were the only other Lakers entering the double digits. "We were slow, ineffective," said coach Phil Jackson, whose team was on the opposite end of a rout the night before last. The Jazz's 70 first-half points equaled their typical four-quarter total.
