Jude Law Charges Phone Was Hacked in US

Jude Law says reporters working for News of the World hacked into his phone while he was visiting the US, an accusation which could see Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. facing US charges. The actor has filed a lawsuit accusing the tabloid of hacking into his phone and that of his personal assistant as soon as the pair landed at New York's JFK airport in 2003, the BBC reports.

The FBI—which is already investigating whether the tabloid tried to hack into the voicemails of 9/11 victims and their families—is probing Law's allegations. The actor says his phone was also hacked by reporters working for fellow Murdoch paper the Sun, a charge News International execs describe as "deeply cynical and deliberately mischievous."
