West Village pet shops tell the intoxicated to 'come back tomorrow'

Pet stores in New York City's West Village have discovered an unlikely downside of keeping shop in an area particularly dense with bars—drunk puppy buying, in the words of DNA Info. Yes, the pups playing in shop windows are apparently just too adorable for inebriated people to pass up. At least two such shops have banned sales to tipsy customers as a result, for the good of the pooches. "We have to tell them to come back the next day and most of the time they never come back," says one owner. (More New York City stories.)
