He's only 21, but Daniel Radcliffe is off the booze for good. In an interview with British GQ as reported by the Telegraph, the actor explains that he started partying too much at age 18, during the filming of Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince. His drink of choice? Whisky. Lady luck? On his side. "I really got away with that because there were many instances when a shot like that could have been taken," he says of the paparazzi somehow missing his alcohol-filled days.

"I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff," he says. "As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn't work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully." So he quit drinking in August, and hasn't had a sip since. "I'm actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I'm really pleasant and I'm not f---ing up totally all the time." He continues, "There's no shame in enjoying the quiet life. And that's been the realization of the past few years for me." (More Daniel Radcliffe stories.)
