Gadhafi Sends Congress a Thank-You Note

Moammar Gadhafi's letters are bizarre to say the least, and his latest doesn't do much to change that perception. In a note sent to Congress, he thanks them for scolding President Obama regarding his involvement in the attacks against Libya. "I want to express my sincere gratitude for your thoughtful discussion of the issues," writes the man who, in a past letter, told Obama he loved him. "We are confident that history will see the wisdom of your country in debating these issues."

"We are counting on the United States Congress to its continued investigation of military activities of NATO and its allies to confirm what we believe is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolution 1973," he continued in the three-page letter. The New York Times, notes that it received a copy from "a person seeking to defend the administration’s policy." A rep for John Boehner called it "incoherent." (More Moammar Gadhafi stories.)
