Maybe the mere thought of drinking a North Dakota vintage is enough to put you off your feed: Discover digs up a study that found diners with unfavorable expectations about their wine ate less than their counterparts with favorable expectations. An analysis of plate waste found that people who were told they were drinking a "new from North Dakota" wine ate 12% less than those told they were drinking something "new from California." Need to drop a few pounds? Try something in a jug. (More alcohol is good for you stories.)
