It’s that time again: Dancing With the Stars is back, although sadly, there’s no Bristol Palin this time around. People recaps last night’s season 12 premiere, noting that Ralph Macchio of Karate Kid fame was the evening’s standout and earned the best score, 24 points. A perhaps surprising second-place contestant: Kirstie Alley, who judge Bruno Tonioli said danced the best cha cha of the night, snagging 23 points. The night’s low scorers were Wendy Williams with 14 points and Mike Catherwood with 13. Highlights in the gallery. (More Dancing with the Stars stories.)
