An Australian teen had to cancel her 16th birthday party after her invitation went viral on Facebook—and attracted nearly 200,000 declared guests, reports AFP via Yahoo News. The trouble began when the girl posted an item to tell friends that all were welcome to stop by her house, "as long as it didn't get out of hand." It soon did: She had 20,000 RSVPs in 24 hours and 10 times that number soon after.

"The father has given us an undertaking that he will have the Facebook page removed and the party will definitely not be going on," a police official said. "There will be no party at that address." (More birthday party stories.)
