Customer, Century-Old Wal-Mart Greeter Scuffle

Lois Speelman may be 100 years old, but she’s not letting a dispute with a customer that left her “stiff and sore” keep her from going back to work this week. Speelman was working as a Wal-Mart greeter in Milwaukee Sunday when she tried to make sure that a 37-year-old woman had paid for the water bottles in her shopping cart, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The customer got angry and allegedly pushed Speelman, and was arrested.

"That's our job. That's what we're up there in front for, to watch people going and coming,” says Speelman, who hit her head during the incident. “You get a lot of customers who are not out to hurt you, but they always give you a bad time.”
