Lawsuit: Huffington Stole Our Website Idea

Two Democratic political consultants are alleging, in a lawsuit filed in New York State Court, that Arianna Huffington and her business partner stole their blueprint for the website now called the Huffington Post, reports Ben Smith for Politico. James Boyce and Peter Daou claim that they had a handshake agreement with Huffington to work together on the website.

Huffington calls the claims "a completely absurd, ludicrous supposition" and dismisses the men as spurned job-seekers who "had absolutely nothing to do with creating, running, financing, or building" the website. In a written statement to Politico, Huffington further alleges that the men "tried to cash in" before filing the lawsuit, promising to "go away for just a little money." Read the full article.
