Sarah Palin says she’ll run for president in 2012—if she has to. Asked in an interview with Entertainment Tonight if she was running, Palin said she’d have to take “a real close look at the lay of the land to consider whether there are those with that common sense, conservative, pro-Constitution passion, whether there are already candidates out there who could do the job, and I’ll get to be their biggest supporter, their biggest help-mate.”

But “If there’s nobody else to do it then of course I believe we should do this,” she concluded. She also noted that she wouldn’t be in the audience for Bristol’s next Dancing With the Stars appearance—because she’ll be covering the midterms on Fox News. (More Sarah Palin 2012 stories.)
