A Yale fraternity is coming under further scrutiny after pledges were heard chanting "No means yes! Yes means anal!" among other gems last week. The executive director of Delta Kappa Epsilon has told the chapter to suspend all pledging activities, and is due to drop by campus for a tete a tete, reports the Hartford Courant. "We don't really have a playbook" for dealing with cases like this, Doug Lanpher says. He calls the incident "a very bad attempt at doing something funny-slash-edgy and it went over the line."

Outrage in the Yale community, meanwhile, continues. Members of the Yale Women's Center and DKE met Friday to begin what one dean calls "a dialogue that we hope leads to mutual respect." While "we do not censor free speech," she says, "free expression calls for an environment of civility and respect." Disciplinary procedures are confidential at Yale.
