An emergency alert was issued for a missing 3-year-old California boy yesterday, after his drunk dad told cops he couldn't remember where he left the toddler. Cops happened to bust Dylan Kurihara's apparently inebriated father, Joe, alone, on foot, and charged him with public intoxication on Saturday night. When the boy's mom reported the boy missing yesterday morning, and told police Kurihara was supposed to be watching the toddler, the dad told officers he couldn't "recall being with the child due to his level of intoxication," said a police spokesman. He was unaware he was "in charge of the child."

The father and son had last been seen together leaving a wedding in an SUV Saturday night. The boy was found about 25 hours later, still strapped into a car seat in the vehicle, which was in a parking garage. "He is in good shape, and none the less for wear," the police chief told the AP. His 23-year-old dad is being held on $10,000 bail. "We're looking at all possible charges that would be associated with this," the police chief said.
