Hollywood is filming a flick based on the story of journalist Judith Miller, who did time to avoid naming Scooter Libby as the source who outed CIA agent Valerie Plame to her. Of course everyone involved is younger and a lot hotter. Thirty-four-year-old Kate Beckinsale (Miller was 59) stars as a reporter who was jailed for 18 months (Miller did 85 days), and was the mother of a young son (hello, Erin Brockovich).
"People could say Kate is too good-looking to be a reporter," admits director Rod Lurie.
"The film derives from real events, as you can see," he tells the Washington Post, "but then it goes off on its own direction." Beckinsale did meet with the real-life Miller, and called her "elegant, candid, bright," and "extremely pretty." For now, the film is tentatively and inaccurately titled Nothing but the Truth.
