New Forbes list is full of ‘biggest-ever’s

Forbes’ new list of the 100 most powerful celebrities is packed with broken records, including the highest-grossing athlete (Tiger Woods: $100M in the past year), the highest-grossing concert tour (The Rolling Stones: over $400M in sales) and the highest-paid film role (Johnny Depp: $92M for Pirates II). But the ubiquitous Oprah topped the list.

Forbes' formula combines Google cred, press mentions and magazine cover appearances with personal earnings. While falling stars like Hallie Berry and Jim Carey have dropped off, the magazine noted that 50 Cent (No. 32) should get a major bump next time—the rapper/businessman's stake in beverage business Glaceau jumped $100M when Coca-Cola acquired the company.
