Where to go to get the best value in a cup of coffee? Quartzy has an interesting breakdown that goes beyond mere price. For example, it might seem that paying $1.19 at McDonald's instead of $2.65 at Starbucks is a no-brainer—but not when you take into account how much caffeine each 16-ounce cup has. The site ranked four big retailers on that front, and found that 7-Eleven is actually the champ:

  1. 7-Eleven, 129 milligrams of caffeine per dollar
  2. Starbucks, 124.5
  3. McDonald's, 121.8
  4. Dunkin' Donuts, 100.4
