(Newser) – Ricky Smith already works three jobs to support his family, so when his 14-year-old daughter, Nevaeha, came to him with a special request, he wasn't sure he could fulfill it. ABC News reports the Pittsburgh teen had her eye on a two-piece floral dress for her upcoming middle-school dance, but the price tag was just shy of $200, and her dad was already time-strapped working at McDonald's, Circle K, and Popeyes, sometimes putting in a seven-day workweek. But Smith was determined to make Nevaeha's dream dress a reality, and so he grabbed extra shifts where he could to save up the money, making the presentation of the dress to her at the McDonald's where he works.

Bringing the dress out to her in a garment bag, Smith played up the scene, telling Nevaeha, "This ain't the dress you wanted, but I hope you like it.'" In a video her mom posted to Facebook showing the big reveal, an unexcited-looking Nevaeha unzips the bag, recognizes the dress, and immediately embraces her father, sobbing. "It's the dress," she weeps. "To see the look on her face it was priceless," Ricky says, per ABC. Meanwhile, Nevaeha tells CBS This Morning that she's "grateful" her dad found a way to get her the dress, which she wore to the June 15 dance (check out a pic). "I really appreciate how many jobs he worked," she says, adding, per ABC: "I love him and I'm really happy [that] he's my father." (A dad's love for his kids, shown through 20,000 postcards.)
