Two firefighters in Ohio have been suspended for allegedly making pornographic videos at a firehouse. Akron officials say Arthur Dean and Deann Eller were both placed on administrative leave Monday while the city launched an investigation, the AP reports. Fire Chief Clarence Tucker says someone told a firefighter last week about the acts possibly being performed on city property. The firefighter reported it to his supervisor, who then told the chief. Per Cleveland.com, Eller, 42, who joined the Akron Fire Department in 2000, had recently been promoted to lieutenant. Dean, 49, also joined the department in 2000.

Tucker and Mayor Dan Horrigan said in a joint statement that Dean and Eller didn't work at the same fire station, but they were known to be in a long-term relationship. "As leaders of this city and this department, we find these allegations shocking and distressing, to say the least," the statement said. "These allegations bring unwelcome dishonor and embarrassment to [the] Akron Fire Department and the City of Akron and unfairly discredit the reputation of other Akron Fire officers." Officials haven't identified the firehouse where the videos took place, and an investigation is ongoing; police won't be investigating the allegations as a crime. A spokesman for the local firefighters' union says Eller and Dean have no comment.
