Mike Pence has a message for Robert Mueller: "It's time to wrap it up." In an interview with Andrea Mitchell on NBC’s Today, the vice president urged Mueller to finish his investigation into the Trump campaign's possible collusion with Russia. Pence said the White House has been cooperating with investigators for the last year. “I would very respectfully encourage the special counsel and his team to bring their work to completion,” he told Mitchell, per CNN. The investigation will reach its one-year anniversary next week. Pence’s comments were his most direct to date in regard to an investigation that has resulted in the indictment of 13 Russian operatives, former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort, and others, reports Politico, .

Pence declined to comment on the widening federal investigation into Michael Cohen, the president’s lawyer and self-described “fixer.” Most recently, a New York Times investigation found that Cohen’s shell company, Essential Consultants, was used far more extensively than previously known. Pence said that the Cohen investigation is a private matter and that he does not have any knowledge of it. Perhaps signaling the growing legal demands of the case, Rudy Giuliani, the president’s new personal lawyer, announced that he is officially leaving his job at the law firm Greenberg Traurig, citing the "pressing demands" of the probe, reports the Hill. Giuliani had been on temporary leave. (More Mike Pence stories.)
