Hillary Clinton's campaign is fuming at what it perceives as Barack Obama's plagiarism of its policy ideas, the Chicago Tribune reports. "I came up with that a year ago,” Clinton said of the stimulus package her rival is boosting. Obama's formula, her advisers argue, is glomming onto a Clinton idea, adding extra millions, and pitching it as his own.

The Tribune's Glenn Thrush calls the alleged practice “the political equivalent of the popular kid rising to the top of the class by cribbing the nerdy valedictorian's notes”—and Clintonites insist it’s true from green jobs to college financial aid. But, an Obama rep says, it’s Hillary who’s parroting Barack on Iraq. Concludes one prof, the Dems are merely “down to hairsplitting.” (More Barack Obama stories.)
