Harvey Weinstein could be indicted as early as next week, NBC New York reports. An unidentified senior official says the Manhattan district attorney's office is expected to present its case in front of a grand jury in the coming days. Last week, NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said police were gathering evidence for a possible arrest after actress Paz de la Huerta accused Weinstein of raping her twice in 2010. District Attorney Cyrus Vance says his office is working with police but wouldn't offer specifics on the case. "I really can't comment but we'll move as fast as we can to resolve the outstanding issues," he says.

An unnamed source reportedly tells Page Six that Vance's plan to go to a grand jury and wait for an indictment next week goes against the NYPD's plan to arrest Weinstein as soon as possible. The source says the NYPD and district attorney's office are butting heads over the case, with the district attorney's office apparently mad about police saying last week they were waiting on it for an arrest warrant. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports London police said Tuesday another woman has accused Weinstein of sexually assaulting her. Police say the alleged assault happened in an unspecified foreign country in 1991. The unnamed woman is the eighth in Britain to accuse Weinstein. (More Harvey Weinstein stories.)
