On Viral Newsweek Cover, Trump Is a 'Lazy Boy'
This depiction of President Trump as a "lazy boy" on the cover of "Newsweek" is going viral.   (Twitter)

Salon calls it "one of the harshest covers about Donald Trump yet," and the Boston Globe says it's "stunning" but "not in a good way." The cover for the new issue of Newsweek—on newsstands Aug. 11—depicts President Trump in a recliner and surrounded by junk food (some of which didn't make it all the way to his mouth). He's got his phone and a remote with him. The text reads: "LAZY BOY: Donald Trump is bored and tired. Imagine how bad he'd feel if he did any work." The cover also highlights Trump's 40 days at golf clubs and zero pieces of major legislation.

The cover is for an article about the work ethic and passion for Twitter, TV, and golf of "America's boy king," USA Today reports. According to Bustle, the article's author says the cover was partly inspired by Trump's hypocritical criticism of President Obama for playing golf and going on vacation. The ostentatious cover went viral, and HuffPost rounds up some of the best reactions on social media, including "I wonder if he will hang this in his club house" and, "I would have added past due bills on floor." But former media mogul Lord Conrad Black wasn't having it, telling Fox Business: “Claiming the president is lazy is just outrageous. He’s the hardest working president in our time."
