Police say a New York City woman was robbed and sexually assaulted by five men after leaving church Tuesday night in Queens, WNBC reports. According to the New York Daily News, the 50-year-old victim was about half a block from the church on her way to the subway when two men with a gun allegedly confronted her and demanded money. The victim gave up her purse but didn't have any cash. “They tell me, ‘You don’t have money so take off your clothes,'" the victim recalls. The victim says the men called over three others and three of them forced her to perform oral sex. She lied and claimed to be HIV positive, but police say it didn't stop the men. The victim says one of the men slapped her and called her a "stupid African woman."

Following the attack, the victim ran back to the church for help, WABC reports. Pastor Kehinde Oyetunde tells WNBC the victim was "crying and shivering." He says he thinks the victim's claim of HIV stopped the men from assaulting her further. The married mother of two tells the Daily News she isn't sure she'll be able to make the journey to her church anymore. “I’m shaken,” she says. “I’m trying to get over it, but it’s not easy.” No arrests have been made, but police are reviewing surveillance footage in hopes it will lead them to the attackers.
