Tumblr sites feature servicemen from all branches in and out of uniform

The scandal embroiling the Marine Corps, already involving hundreds of Marines accessing photos of nude servicewomen taken without their consent, just got a whole lot bigger. USA Today reports the Pentagon has formed a joint military task force to investigate images of troops—in and out of uniform—appearing on various gay Tumblr pages. Some of the photos on the pornographic sites show servicemen engaging in group sex. And it's not just the Marines this time. The photos reportedly contain men in Navy, Army, and Air Force, uniforms, as well.

It's now up to military investigators to identify the men in the photos and determine if they're active-duty troops and whether what they're doing is a violation of military law. They're likely to use facial recognition software to complete the first task. While it's unclear whether the majority of the servicemen shown on the Tumblr sites consented to have their photos made public.
