An intruder was shot three times and a security guard was stabbed near the eye in a grim struggle outside Miranda Kerr's Malibu home Friday, police say. A neighbor says he and some workmen witnessed the fight and ran to help. He says the intruder kept trying to attack the guard even after he had been shot. "The man, after he was shot, still held the knife and was going after the security man so my guy kicked the knife out of the perpetrator’s hands," the neighbor tells CBS2.

Both men were hospitalized, and the "armed security guard is listed in stable condition, and the intruder is listed in critical condition with non-life threatening injuries," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a Facebook post. The Australian model and her 5-year-old son were not home at the time of the violence, which TMZ reports happened after the intruder hopped a fence to enter the property and was confronted by a guard.
