Put off by John Mayer's "gnarly guitar face?" Blame the complex songs of the Grateful Dead. Bob Weir, of the Grateful Dead, and Mayer, of that one Taylor Swift song, appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday. During the show, an audience member asked Mayer about the "sexual face" he makes while playing guitar, Billboard reports. According to UPI, Mayer said he doesn't mean to make the "pained sexual face," but it's brought on by the difficulty of the Grateful Dead's back catalog, which he plays as part of Weir's Dead & Company. "I'm worried about falling off the bike," Mayer said. In what is certainly good news for tabloids and female songwriters, ABC News reports Mayer also revealed he's ready to start dating again after his relationship with Katy Perry ended.
