A young Michigan woman died this week after fighting esophageal cancer for five years, but not before she got to fulfill her last wish: to marry her fiance. As the Detroit Free Press reports, 30-year-old Jennifer Hutcheson wed Allen Korth last month with help from the nonprofit Wish Upon a Wedding group. It arranges weddings for couples when one has a terminal illness. The couple wanted to get married five years ago, when Hutcheson was diagnosed, but they put it off because they feared she would lose health insurance, reports WNEM.

Some may "say marriage is just a piece of paper, but I am so grateful Jennifer got her biggest wish to come true," said her maid of honor at the July 6 ceremony. "She is finally Mrs. Korth." Hutcheson wasn't feeling great on her wedding day, but she managed to stand from her wheelchair and greet the crowd, reports MLive. She died on Monday, less than a month after the ceremony.
