Dylan Farrow wants to make one thing clear: She was not brainwashed by her mother, Mia Farrow, into believing that her father, Woody Allen, molested her when she was 7. "People are saying that I am not actually remembering what I remember," she tells People in an extensive interview. "People are saying that my 'evil mother' brainwashed me because they refuse to believe that my sick, evil father would ever molest me, because we live in this society where victim blaming and inexcusable behavior—this taboo against shaming the famous at the expense of their victims—is accepted and excused."

When Dylan first came forward with her story, in a Vanity Fair article last year, it was overshadowed by the revelation that her brother Ronan might actually be Frank Sinatra's kid, not Allen's. That made Dylan feel "that no one cared," says a family friend. Dylan says she then decided to write her recent open letter about the experience after the Golden Globes tribute to Allen, which Ronan slammed. "I realized it was my turn to stand up and to tell the truth," she says. As for brother Moses, who publicly insisted Allen never molested his sister, Dylan says, "These lies—this betrayal—is unfathomable to me coming from a brother I loved and cherished and grew up with. ... His betrayal is the lowest form of evil that I could ever imagine." In other Allen news, CBS recently uploaded a 60 Minutes interview with the director from 1992, in which Allen said that several weeks before Dylan accused him of abuse, Mia called him and said, "I have something very nasty planned for you."
