Perhaps the weirdest news to come out since Amy Winehouse's death so far: The Mirror reports that the singer was in the process of adopting a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia when she died. Making the news even weirder? Dannika Augustine already has a mother and grandmother, but apparently Winehouse wanted to save the girl from poverty and hunger. “Amy was already my mother. I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter," Augustine says. "She took care of me and we had fun together. ... I was looking forward to living with her here or in London." The girl's grandmother says the singer had already hired lawyers to complete the adoption. The Mirror has pictures. (More Amy Winehouse stories.)
