A sharp-eyed collector spotted a small problem with the US Post Office's new stamp celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty: Officials used a picture of the wrong statue. The Lady Liberty that graces the stamp is actually that of the replica that stands outside the New York New York casino in Las Vegas, reports the New York Times.

"We still love the stamp design and would have selected this photograph anyway," a post office spokesman claimed after the mix-up was exposed in a philately magazine. At the casino, meanwhile, they say they're proud of the honor. "Everyone thought the post office was honoring just one great American institution when in reality they were honoring two—the Statue of Liberty and Las Vegas," said a spokesman.
