Yemen Hunts More Packages
A United Parcel Service jet is seen isolated on a runway at Philadelphia International Airport in Philadelphia, Friday, Oct. 29, 2010. Law enforcement officials are investigating reports of suspicious packages on cargo planes in Philadelphia and Newark, N.J.    (Matt Rourke)

Officials are hunting some two dozen suspect packages likely linked to al-Qaeda in Yemen, the AP reports. Yemeni officials were examining 24 packages in their custody, an anonymous official says, and searching for more while interviewing cargo workers at the airport. Officials in the US have temporarily halted all cargo shipments originating from Yemen as searches continue.

Yemen was also hunting the would-be bombers, Reuters notes, setting up checkpoints around Sanaa today to search cars and check IDs while armed military patrols roamed the city.
